About the Speaker:
Samuel Zabb-Parmley is a Professional Engineer registered by the State of California, working in Simpson Gumpertz & Heger's Building Technology division in Los Angeles.
He specializes in the assessment, treatment, and restoration of existing buildings with distress related to the building enclosure and waterproofing materials; with experience extending to new design building enclosure consultation.
Project experience includes consulting on roofing, plaza decks and podiums, terraces and balconies, opaque exterior walls, glazing assemblies, and below-grade systems. Sam is an active member of WCAPT, currently serving as a student-liaison and will be running for election to the board of directors this fall.

Updated COVID-19 Protocols:
The following protocols will be enforced by WCAPT and our hosts, SGH ands we appreciate your cooperation. Please note that these protocols are subject to change between now and the event.
LA County has entered into the High category for Covid transmission according to CDC. Masks will, therefore, be required at the event (with the exception of while eating/drinking).
Attendees need to be pre-screened before the event (i.e. during event registration) and screened again upon arrival. The screening process requires the guest to answer “no” to the following questions:
Have you experienced any cold, flu or COVID-19 symptoms, within the last ten days? Symptoms such as: fever or chills, sore throat, fatigue, muscle or body aches, cough, new loss of taste or smell, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, headache, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, or diarrhea.
In the last ten days, have you had close contact with or cared for anyone who is either: (1) exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 or (2) has been diagnosed with COVID-19 and have not been released from quarantine by a negative diagnostic test after five days of quarantine?
Have you tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 10 days? Have you traveled outside of the country within the last 10 days? Have you traveled by air within the past 5 days?
